Identify similarities and differences in two or more subjects Diction Writer’s or speaker's choice of words and way of arranging the words in a sentence Perspective The way author views a topic based on their personal experiences and cultural views Signal Words Words and phrases that indicate what is to come in a text Tone The attitude a writer takes towards a subject. Unlike mood, which is intended to shape the reader's emotional response, tone reflects the feelings of a writer. |
